Traditional dances Serimpi, Yogyakarta

Serimpi dance is a traditional dance that came from local DIY or we are familiar with the name of Yogyakarta Special Region (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta), or more precisely in Yogyakarta.
This dance is performed by four female dancers are beautiful and graceful. Serimpi word means four. But there are also Serimpi danced by five dancers are on Serimpi Renggowati. Tradition Sekaten In Yogyakarta

This time we will discuss the Indonesian culture is very unique once Culture sekaten in Yogyakarta.
Tradition sekaten ordinary people refer to the night market. because before the ceremony sekaten in the title, the night market held a full month. This tradition has been held since 16 centuries ago. and is held once a year in the first three calendar months of Java.

a lot of people who interpret this sekaten said. The first word is derived from the name sekaten heritage palace of Yogyakarta. Heritage in the form of gamelan named Kanjeng Kyai Sekati. Gamelan is always used in the event of Maulud Prophet Muhammad. and others found sekaten derived from the word love means happy and ati which means the liver so it can be interpreted as happy. On 11 Maulud, the Sultan came to the Grand Mosque to attend the ceremony Maulud Prophet Muhammad. After the ceremony was over, the gamelan Sekaten brought back to the palace.
